On Wednesday the North Norfolk Exhibition Project committee were alerted that one of Emma Blount’s stained glass birds had ‘disappeared’. Yesterday, it was reported that a further six from the back of the church had also gone.
These incidents have been reported to the police.
Emma Blount’s small diamond-shaped artworks consist of realistic birds painted by on to coloured glass. These jewel-like stained glass pieces were placed both inside and outside the church.

There will be a Service of Celebration at St. Margaret’s Church, Cley on Sunday, 18th July at 11.15am to celebrate both St. Margaret’s day and the Cley 21 exhibition.
Orpheus In The Underworld is coming to St. Margaret’s church on Wednesday 21st July, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 and are available on the door.

This year the remarkable North Norfolk Exhibition Projects celebrates 21 years with the 20th exhibition, intended for 2020 and realised this summer.

Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Cley Marshes Visitor Centre, Coast Rd, Cley next the Sea NR25 7SA
The 20th exhibition, curated by Amanda Geitner, features work by 60 artists and includes painting, sculpture, textiles, photography and ceramics – a marvellous range of work addressing themes as diverse as the migration of birds, the movement of the stars and the pure pleasure that can be found in colour and form. Amanda Geitner says ‘ nowhere embraces work that signals our psychological spaces, exhibited here temporarily, but ultimately belonging everywhere and nowhere – work that brings our attention firmly back to the now here’
