Now, Then and What Next? 20th October to 30th October 2022
This is an Open Call for artwork to be exhibited at Artspace on the Prom as the core of the Cromer Artspace Autumn Festival 2022. There will also be festival events at Cromer Community Hall.
The theme, Now, Then and What Next? is about heritage, placemaking and future possibilities, but is not intended to be narrow in any way. It could include views, questions, ideas about the social, physical or imaginary aspects of Cromer, the region, the coast.
Artists may submit up to three works for £5 for each work. Submissions must be made by midnight on 31stJuly. Work should not have been previously exhibited. Payment will be taken through the website.
Please submit up to three images and description to cromer-artspace.uk. The maximum file size is 2Mb
Images should be 300 dpi and clearly labelled with title and artist’s name and contact details.
For each image we need to know the size of the work, the media used and the title, with a brief description of how the work meets the brief.
2D works should not be bigger than 1m square and should be ready to hang with D rings and wire/cord attached. All original work, including photographs and editioned prints will be considered.
3D works should be able to fit on a plinth 36cm square.
We can also accept submissions for digital works.
Work will be selected by a panel of practising artists.
We will provide invigilation and will not take commission, but artists will need to insure their own work.
Selected artists will need to deliver on 17th October between 10.30 and 5.30 and to collect on 31st October between 10.30 and 2.30. We provide a snack lunch on 31st as a chance for participating artists to get together and chat.
